More Boys, Please!

My son is feeling a bit outnumbered lately. Many of our closest friends have only girls in the family. Loud girls. Singing girls. Giggly girls. He's not taking well to his lone boy status. This picture was taken during a carpooling trip to camp...after about 6 rounds of the camp theme song.

His misery is balanced with plenty of boy friends, complete with sword fights, cowboy movies and fort building.
We keep telling him that in a few years he'll appreciate girls more. For now, I consider it character training. Who needs a special curriculum when you have a sister?!

Great blog! We have the opposite problem at our house. 4 boys and one lone girl. I hope it makes her a more patient and understanding wife one day. :-) See you around the TOS Crew!

Blessings,

That picture is just classic! We have all boys in the family (ages 7, 4, and 9 months), but my poor four year old has NO boys his own age to play with. At our church, there are two boys around my oldest's age and two other baby boys for the youngest to play with later on. But there are no boys, only two girls for my four year old. Of course, he says he's going to marry one of those girls, but I know he'd appreciate a little boy to play with too. Great post!
