You were right, Mom!

Could it possibly be that my teenager actually uttered the words "You were right, Mom!" with zero prompting? That's right...be jealous all you moms of teenagers.

I wasn't sure I heard her right, so I asked her to repeat what she said...again, and again, and again. Not only was it flabbergasting a show of her maturity that she said it in the first place, but she had no problem repeating it, which made me drop my jaw to the floor even further proud that she didn't let pride get in the way.

Oh, happy day! I'm going to savor the moment before I go back to not knowing anything.

Yes, I am jealous, but happy to see the maturing. I'm seeing glimmers of hope with my teens here. I am so thankful for each one. I just have to be careful about blogging it. My 13 year old reads my blog. Have a great weekend!

Yes, mine reads my blog too. She can take a fair amount of razzing, though. I love it when I see those glimmers!
