I always use a list and I buy only what is on that list unless I see something that is marked down at least 50%, and then I will get that item in lieu of an item that is already on my list. I use coupons and try to wait for double and triple coupon days to use them also.

I try to buy my groceries when they are on sale, with the largest $ coupon available [searching mfg sites, blogs, mags, etc]. I will always max out items when buying 2-20 of each item at the best price stocking up until they are on sale again.

While I'm not a coupon queen who somehow manages to get PAID at checkout, I do my best to clip them, print them, or digitally load them to my savings card. I then match them up with sales to maximize my savings.
When there's an exceptionally good coupon on a product I purchase regularly, I'll pick up multiples of it on ebay (Typically costs under $2 shipped for 10-20x) This has been especially helpful for pet food and litter!

We save money on groceries by using coupons, buying store brand staples like sugar, eggs, milk, ect (we can't tell the difference on these things from national brands), stock up on marked down meat, and sign up for store alerts. Most store allow you to upload coupons onto your shopper card to save even more!

Definitely use coupons, when possible do a rebate/refund for the item purchased, buy things on sale, buy reduced items, meats or reduced groceries usually on certain shelves or buggies in stores and dont go shopping when hungry you may buy things more-so thus costing you more money not saving you money.
